As a Co-founder and Chief Executive Office (CEO) and Chairman of the Board of TOGO INDUSTRIES GROUP (TiG) , Charles Séna Kwadzo AYENU, a native of Togo, has over 20 years of banking experiences and has worked as Financial Credit Risk Management and Commercial Relationship Manager at Citibank and as Senior Vice President at the regional american financial institution SunTrust Bank in the Washington DC metropolitan area.
In 2014, he relocated to Accra, Ghana to establish and lead Home Energy Africa, Ltd. (HEA) a renewable energy company developing projects primarily in West Africa. HEA’s first undertaking is a 100MW solar PV plant located in Sankana, in the Upper West Region of Ghana. The project development phase has been completed and Power Purchase Agreement negotiations with the off-taker is ongoing.
Since late 2018, Charles has co-founded one of his latest venture called SOLEVA, SAS U a PAYGO or solar kits distribution and sales company in Togo with an aggressive goal to reach 300,000 households or a population of 2 millions people by 2022. His company is on e of the two companies selected under this off-grid program called “CIZO” that officially launched since 2019.
In 2020, he establishes KAS INTERNATIONAL CONSULTING GROUP (KASIC) which operates in the consulting sector with the main objective of helping qualified companies raise the necessary capital for their projects in sub-Saharan Africa.
As an International Consultant with expertise on Africa, Charles has been since 2010 assisting various private businesses and governments promote key & strategic projects throughout Africa and primarily in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) region. As a Pan-Africanist, his is vision of an emerging African continent is one of his motto that is well alive in his day-to-day commitment to the economic empowerment through various means of the youth, the untapped human capital of Africa.
He holds a Master of Urban Affairs (M.U.A) and a Master of Business Administration in International Business (MBA), both from Wright State University (WSU) in Dayton, Ohio (USA). Charles is a member of the Urban Financial Services Coalition, the National Black MBA Association since 1994 and has been awarded the International Banking Certification from the American Institute of banking. Charles is a native French speaker.
